How to set up dual monitors for Visualization output

You are able to set up a second display adapter, for visualisation output, with the Windows Vista/XP/2000 operating systems. This feature is great for displaying visualization on a second monitor or through a video projector onto a wall or screen.

To utilize the dual monitor feature you will need to install either, a dual monitor output video card, or two video cards into your computer system. Most modern motherboards have a single AGP or PCI-Express video card slot, which means you will need to either install a PCI video card for the second monitor, or replace your AGP or PCI-Express card with a dual monitor output video card.

Tips for PCI display adapter configuration:

Tip for home users

If you are a home user, and use your system for other applications, then you would be best to set up your high resolution AGP video card as your primary display adapter, and your low resolution PCI video card as your secondary display adapter, which is for your visualization output.

Tip: Before installation of your secondary PCI video card you may need to select your AGP video card as your Primary VGA card in your system bios.

Tip for DJ's

If you are a DJ, and require high resolution video output for your visualization display, then you would be best to select your PCI video card as your primary display adapter, and your AGP video card as your secondary display adapter. You will therefore be using OtsAV on your PCI display adapter and the visualization will be output to the high resolution AGP video card.
