From time to time it may be necessary to remove Media Library entries which are no longer relevant or duplicated. Duplicate entries are usually due to either:
A genuine double entry of two identical items: the same song from two separate files.
A double entry of the same original file: one entry available, and the other entry unavailable (indicated by grey shaded icon). For details on how to re-link unavailable files click here.
Removing a file from the OtsAV Media Library is a three step process.
Step 1. Remove the file from your hard drive: either delete the file, or move the file to a folder that OtsAV is not able to Easy Scan.
Step 2. Open OtsAV and refresh your Media Library: click on the Import/Refresh files icon on the toolbar and Easy Scan.
Step 3. Remove the Unavailable Albums:
In the Media Library area select [Unavailable Albums] ^AU from the Query drop down combo box. You will see the unavailable albums displayed in the list.
Select the Unavailable Albums you wish to remove by right-clicking and select Remove from Media Library.
