How to setup Live Input Trigger directive

This feature is great for radio stations who wish to have OtsAV handle live news or satellite feeds in an automated fashion.

The Live Input Trigger directive switches Live Input ON, at the trigger point of the previous song, and cues the next item ready for a special trigger to continue play. The trigger can be either Ctrl + Space on the keyboard or a detection of silence.

How to set up the Live Input Trigger for silence detection

Go to View -> Live Input.
Select the Ctrl + Space or silence detection option.

Enter the period of silence in milliseconds into the x milliseconds text box, and the silence detection level in the - x dB levels text box. You may need to experiment with these setting to get an optimum threshold.

You are now ready to insert the Live Input Trigger directive into the playlist.

Right-click at the desired insertion point.
Select Insert Directive -> Live Input -> Trigger.
