The Ots File List (.OFL) format is an ASCII (plain-text) file. The contents of an .OFL file are simply lines of text that directly reference actual media files. For example:
C:\OtsLabs\OtsFiles\MyMusic\Fleetwood Mac - Behind The Mask.ots|1
C:\OtsLabs\OtsFiles\MyMusic\Fleetwood Mac - Behind The Mask.ots|2
C:\OtsLabs\OtsFiles\MyMusic\Fleetwood Mac - Behind The Mask.ots|3
When using an .OFL file you will need to bear in mind that the media files, referenced in the .OFL file, must be in the same location on your hard drive that they were in at the time of the creation of the .OFL file. This format is less portable than the .OIL format.
The .OFL format can be used if you require a third party playlist generator (scheduling program) to generate playlists for use in OtsAV. If you would like to know more about the Ots File List format specification click here.
Hot Tip: You can easily convert an .OFL file to a template file by renaming the file suffix to .OTM. This feature will be of benefit to customers who wish to Schedule the loading of an .OFL list file using the Scheduling & Logging tool.
Create your list. (The list can be created in the Playlist or Work Area.)
Right-click, Select -> All to highlight your list.
Right-click and select Export -> As Ots File List (.OFL)
Type in the file list name, for this example type "Test".
Click the Save button.

Use the Load directive to load the Test.OFL into a playlist. See How to set up a Load Directive

Right-click, select Import -> select one of the import options.
Navigate to the Test.OFL file.
