The video subsystem can be setup to initialize (start) in different ways. To access this menu item, go to Options -> Video/CD+G -> Auto Enable Video Subsystem, and select one of the following options...
At Program Startup - will launch the video subsystem every time OtsAV is launched. This option is best if you are playing video or CD+G clips every time OtsAV is launched. If you have chosen to play a Slideshow when no video content is present, the Slideshow will commence automatically.
On Demand - will launch the video subsystem only when a video or CD+G clip is played. Once the first Video/CD+G clip is played, the video subsystem remains active, whether more Video/CD+G is played or not. If you want to play a Slideshow when no video content is present, you should choose the At Program Startup option above.
Never - use this option if you are not connected to a 2nd display, or you don't want to see any video/CD+G clips on your computer display.
Tip: The Options -> Video/CD+G menu options can also be accessed by right-clicking your mouse on the middle video display, when they are visible. This is the suggested method, as it is the quickest way to access the Video/CD+G features.
Note: If using the Video subsystem, visualizations cannot be run while the Video subsystem is enabled. You can disable the Video subsystem (Ctrl+Alt+Shft+V) within OtsAV, and then start visualizations.
