Using the Ots File Validator

The Ots File Validator can be used to check and validate an Ots file. When a file is validated it will be checked for version compatibility, general structure, that it is error free, and that it contains the required chunk types and items and complies with the Ots file format.

How to validate an Ots file

Open Ots Studio.
Click on the button in the Ots Studio toolbar. Navigate to the Ots file that you would like to have validated. Alternatively, right-click on the Ots file and select the Edit option.
Click on the button. This will open the Validate Ots Object dialog box.
Select the appropriate options (the default is all options).
Click on the Validate button.
Once validated you will receive an operation summary.
