OtsAV mixer

OtsAV has its own inbuilt software mixer console, which enables you to mix between the two OtsAV Decks just like a standard hardware mixer. You can manipulate the mixer with a mouse, or fire off a number of cross-fade sweeps with keyboard shortcuts. There is no reason to have a physical hardware mixer, unless you're also mixing other external sources in to your final mix, such as a microphone.

To display the mixer console, click the Cycle centre panel on the toolbar until the mixer console is displayed in the centre panel. You can use the Ctrl + Tab keys to toggle the center panel.

The mixer console has a range of automated cross-fader sweeps that can be fired off using the numeric keypad. For more information click here.

Mixer console explained

The top horizontal slider: This slider is the cross-fader slider. This slider is used to fade between decks.

The left vertical slider: This slider is the Deck A volume level control.

The right vertical slider: This slider is the Deck B volume level control.

Note: It is normally not necessary to use the Deck A and B volume level controls at all, since OtsAV elegantly handles the audio level control.

The Air button: This button switches the deck signal to the Air output.

The Cue button: This button switches the deck signal to the Cue output.
