How to configure Logging

This tool provides optional automatic logging of all played items, and in a separate log file, the logging of scheduling events. This tool is useful for broadcasters and DJ's alike.

The Play Log contains a log of all items which were played to air throughout that day. The Event Log contains all of the Scheduling events for that day. Both logs can be found in the following directory, unless you have specified otherwise, C:\OtsLabs\Logs.

For instructions on specifying the log file location, using a command line option, click here.

There are two types of Play Log files that can be created. The first is a simple text file (.TXT). The second is a .CSV file that records additional information which can be used for reports generated for music licensing authorities. You can choose which Play Log format to use via the Options -> Logging menu.

Log file format

The log files are stored using the following file name format:

2003-02-12-eventlog.txt

2003-02-12-playlog.txt
